The Story Behind Lebanon's Private Golf Club
Double Eagle began with a simple conviction: Boone County deserved a place to play golf and do business that felt genuinely private — built, not assembled. What follows isn’t a brand statement. It’s the reason this club exists, told plainly.
A Note From Kevin Stoner
I’ve spent my career building homes that people are proud to live in. Sandstone Homes was founded on craftsmanship — custom houses, kitchens, baths, and remodels finished with care most builders skip. Double Eagle is that same standard, turned toward the game I love. I wanted a club I’d want to belong to: private, beautifully made, and small enough to stay personal. So I built the rooms myself, capped membership at one hundred on purpose, and decided to meet every prospective member in person. That’s the whole idea — fewer members, a higher standard, and a handshake before a contract.
Built to a Custom-Home Standard
In a real sense, this club is one of Kevin’s builds. The finishes, the room layouts, the materials you’ll touch — all carry the fingerprints of a custom-home builder rather than a franchise fit-out. Sandstone Homes clients consistently praise the quality, care, and attention to detail, and until founding-member testimonials arrive after opening, that record stands as the proof of what to expect here.

Built for Boone County's Moment
The timing is deliberate. With Eli Lilly building one of the country’s largest pharmaceutical campuses and Meta breaking ground on a multibillion-dollar data center — both inside Lebanon’s LEAP Research & Innovation District — serious business and serious people are arriving in Boone County. Double Eagle was created as their private home for the game: a place to host, to think, and to belong, minutes from where that growth is happening.

Membership begins with a conversation, not a checkout page. Request a private tour and experience the rooms the way every member did — in person.
